Flexion and extension refer to movements that occur at a joint. Flexion is the bending movement that decreases the angle between two body parts, while extension is the straightening movement that increases the angle between two body parts. These movements are commonly seen in joints such as the elbow, knee, and spine, allowing for a wide range of motion in the body. **

The flexion test on the horse was likely not due to a positive splint. A positive splint test would involve pain or sensitivity in the area of the splint bone, which is located on the inside of the horse's leg. The flexion test is typically used to evaluate lameness or discomfort in the lower limb joints, tendons, or ligaments. If the horse showed signs of discomfort during the flexion test, it is more likely related to an issue in the joint or soft tissue being flexed, rather than a positive splint. **

AF1 exerts pressure on the big toe through flexion by distributing the body weight and force evenly across the toe joint. The amount of pressure can vary depending on the individual's weight, the intensity of the movement, and the fit of the shoe. Properly fitting AF1 shoes can help reduce excessive pressure on the big toe during flexion, providing comfort and support for the wearer. **

The fetlock flexion-kissing spines position can affect circulation in horses by potentially causing compression of blood vessels and nerves in the area. This compression can lead to decreased blood flow and oxygen delivery to the tissues, which may result in discomfort and reduced performance. Additionally, the altered position of the fetlock joint can also affect the biomechanics of the limb, potentially leading to increased strain on surrounding structures and further impacting circulation. Regular monitoring and appropriate management of fetlock flexion-kissing spines position is important to minimize potential negative effects on circulation in horses. **

Two weeks after a cruciate ligament revision surgery, the degree of flexion possible will vary depending on the individual's healing process and the specific instructions given by the surgeon. Generally, patients may be able to achieve around 90 degrees of flexion at this stage, but it is important to follow the guidance of the medical team and gradually increase the range of motion as the knee continues to heal. It is crucial to avoid pushing the knee too far too soon to prevent complications and ensure a successful recovery. **
